Great places we stayed

What is Miles2ogo?

It happened to us, crazy but true.

October 3 - 7, 2005

We had a babysitting gig in Hudson WI while Terry’s sister and brother in law went to Florida. So we hung out with Terry’s niece and nephew (Madison, 7 and Sam, 5) for a few days. Maddie and Sam had their first geocaching experiences when we found caches in and around Hudson. Of course, we had to stop at a park and play too! They have a new puppy, Maxx who have gave us a much-needed dog fix. Terry needed a haircut and enlisted Sam to help. Sam took on the task with great concentration and determination.

We traveled to Red Wing MN with Sam on his day off from pre-school to check out Red Wing shoes. The Amtrack train was running late so we lucked out and got to see it arrive. We waived to everyone we could. Just as the train was ready to leave an older couple disembarked. The man told us he thought we were the welcoming committee. We laughed and said we’d never been to Red Wing. The man started telling a story about when he’d been there a long time ago. When he paused, Terry thought he had finished his story and asked where they got on the train. The wife, being polite, answered “Portland”. Apparently the man wasn’t through with his tale and he turned on her and yelled, “Shut up Dolores!” Which she did. We were so shocked we can’t remember the rest of the story

We got to watched football on what I call the worlds largest TV. The size of the TV didn't help ASU when they played Oregon
