The Smithsonian Museums are free so it's easy to run into one to see just one or two things like we did at the Museum of Natural History. This is the Hope Diamond and the crowd it attracts. It was originally much bigger but has been cut over the years. I thought that the setting really detracted from it. It would have been more stunning on its own.

The National Archives (recognize it from the movie National Treasure?). The Magna Carta (one of the few copies), the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are housed here. The actual ones!
